Meathead Movers

Happy with how the move turned out. The crew packed things well and nothing important was damaged. The office staff could be a bit more responsive but the movers were excellent.

The team arrived with a smile, worked nonstop, and treated every item with care. Pricing was transparent with no surprises. This is the only moving company I will ever use.

The movers were courteous, fast, and extremely careful with our belongings. They wrapped every piece of furniture and used blankets on all the sharp corners. Arrived at destination in perfect condition.

Where do I even begin? Meathead Movers handled my move from Oakland, CA to Philadelphia, PA and it was, without exaggeration, the smoothest moving experience of my life. I had been dreading this move for weeks — packing up a four-bedroom house with two kids and a dog felt impossible — but from the moment Paulie and his crew knocked on my door at 7:45 AM, all my anxiety melted away. These guys are true professionals. They came in, did a quick assessment, and then worked like a well-oiled machine for the next five hours. What impressed me most was their attention to the little things. They took the doors off my hinges to get the couch out, then put them right back on. They shrink-wrapped my upholstered furniture to protect against dirt and moisture. They used wardrobe boxes so my clothes stayed on hangers. Paulie personally handled my home office equipment, double-boxing my monitors and printers. When they arrived at the destination in Philadelphia, PA, the unloading was just as meticulous. They placed every box in the room it was labeled for, reassembled all my bedroom furniture, and even helped me center my dining table under the light fixture. They hauled away all packing materials and left my new home spotless. Total cost was about $5,000, slightly under what two other companies quoted. No damage, no delays, no drama. Meathead Movers has earned a customer for life. Katherine Powell

Moving is ranked as one of the most stressful life events, but after my experience with Meathead Movers moving me from Queens, NY to San Diego, CA, I think that ranking needs to be revisited. The entire process was so smooth and well-organized that I actually enjoyed the experience. Marcus and his crew arrived at 8:00 AM and they were all business — in the best way possible. They came in, assessed the situation, and created a game plan on the spot. They designated one person to handle the kitchen, one to handle the bedrooms, and Marcus took charge of the living room and all the large furniture. They moved in perfect synchronization, calling out to each other as they passed in the hallway. My reclining sofa, which I was sure would not fit through the front door, was expertly maneuvered by Marcus using furniture sliders and a rotating technique. At the new place in San Diego, CA, they were just as meticulous. They protected my new floors with cardboard runners, padded the door frames, and placed every item exactly where I pointed. They reassembled my bed frame, my desk, and my bookshelves, and took all the packing materials away. The cost was $2,800 for a one-bedroom long-distance move, very competitive. Meathead Movers is worth every penny. Brandon Murphy

I recently moved from Austin, TX to Kansas City, MO with Meathead Movers and I cannot say enough good things about them. From the very first phone call, their customer service team was responsive, patient, and completely transparent about pricing. They gave me a binding estimate that did not change on moving day — no hidden fees, no surprise charges. The crew, led by Frankie, showed up right on time at 8 AM with a clean truck and all the equipment they needed. Frankie introduced himself and his team, laid down floor protectors in my hallway, and immediately got to work wrapping every single piece of furniture in moving blankets and stretch wrap. I was particularly worried about my grandmother's antique dining table, and Frankie personally made sure it was padded with extra blankets and custom cardboard corner protectors. My entire two-bedroom apartment was loaded in under three hours, and Frankie did a final walk-through with me to confirm nothing was left behind. During the drive, the driver called me with updates on his ETA. When they arrived at my new place in Kansas City, MO, they unloaded everything just as carefully. Every box was placed in the correct room, my furniture was reassembled, and they even helped position my couch exactly where I wanted it. Not a single item was damaged. The final bill was exactly what was quoted — $3,200. Meathead Movers is the most professional moving company I have ever worked with. Carlos Scott

I am not someone who writes reviews, but after my experience with Meathead Movers moving me from New York, NY to Raleigh, NC, I felt I owed it to other people who are searching for a trustworthy moving company. I had a complicated move — a two-bedroom apartment that included a home gym with heavy weights, a large collection of vinyl records, and several pieces of mid-century modern furniture. Tommy and his team handled every single item with a level of care that went above and beyond what I expected. The vinyl records alone took up about 30 boxes, and Tommy made sure each box was loaded flat and secured so the records would not warp. My mid-century credenza was wrapped in three layers of moving blankets, corner-protected with cardboard, and then shrink-wrapped. The home gym weights were loaded on the bottom of the truck to create a stable base. These guys clearly know what they are doing. Delivery in Raleigh, NC was on time, and the crew placed every item exactly where I wanted it. Total cost: $2,950 for about 1,800 cubic feet. Fair, transparent, and exactly as quoted. Zero damage. Zero stress. I cannot recommend Meathead Movers strongly enough. Helen Watson

Meathead Movers did a solid job moving our three-bedroom apartment from San Francisco, CA to El Paso, TX. The crew was polite, worked hard, and took care with our belongings. A couple of boxes got slightly dented in transit but nothing inside was damaged. The price was competitive and there were no hidden fees. Andre, the foreman, was organized and kept everything on track. I would recommend Meathead Movers to friends and family without hesitation. Total cost was $3,400. Good value for the quality of service. Priya Gutierrez

Reliable service at a fair price from Meathead Movers. The crew was polite, worked hard, and finished faster than the estimated time. Communication from the office could have been a bit more responsive in the days leading up to the move, but on moving day everything went smoothly. Jamal and his team were careful with all my items from Columbus, OH to San Jose, CA. All my items arrived safely and the crew was friendly throughout. The final price was $2,600. I would recommend Meathead Movers to anyone. Paul James

As a military family, we have moved eleven times in the last twenty years. Our recent move from Fresno, CA to Orlando, FL with Meathead Movers was, hands down, the best moving experience we have ever had. Marcus was our crew chief, and he ran the operation like a seasoned logistics officer. He arrived with a pre-loaded inventory sheet on a tablet, walked through our house room by room, and tagged every item with a numbered sticker. Every item was accounted for at pickup and at delivery — nothing was lost. The crew packed our kitchen with surgical precision. Every dish was wrapped individually, glasses went into cell boxes, and our cast iron cookware was stacked carefully. Marcus personally handled my husband's gun safe — a 400-pound beast that most movers refuse to touch. He had the right equipment, took his time, and got it out without damaging a single door frame. The truck arrived in Orlando, FL on the exact date promised, and the delivery crew worked with the same efficiency. The total cost was $4,800 for a full-service, four-bedroom move with packing included. If you are a military family looking for a mover who respects your belongings and your time, call Meathead Movers. Betty Watson

After being burned by a different moving company last year, I was extremely cautious about who I hired for my move from Miami, FL to Colorado Springs, CO. I did extensive research, read dozens of reviews, and ultimately chose Meathead Movers based on their consistently high ratings and transparent pricing. That decision paid off in every possible way. The office staff was responsive from day one — they answered all my questions, provided a detailed binding estimate, and never pressured me into buying services I did not need. On moving day, Marcus and his three-person team arrived at 8:30 AM and got straight to work. I was particularly impressed by how they handled my specialty items. I have a vintage pinball machine that weighs over 300 pounds, and Marcus knew exactly how to secure it for transport. He used furniture sliders to get it out of my basement, wrapped it in multiple layers of moving blankets, and strapped it securely to the wall of the truck. They also took great care with my king-size bed frame, disassembling it carefully and bagging all the hardware. The drive to Colorado Springs, CO took about a day and a half, and the driver checked in with me regularly. When they arrived, the unloading was just as careful. Total cost was $3,900, within $50 of the original estimate. This is what a professional moving experience should look like. Meathead Movers has restored my faith in moving companies. Helen Lopez

I will keep it simple: Meathead Movers is the only moving company I will ever use again. My move from Long Beach, CA to Pittsburgh, PA was supposed to be a nightmare — I was selling my house, the buyer was pushing for a quick close, and I had not finished packing when moving day arrived. But Sam and his crew showed up, took one look at the chaos, and immediately took control. They brought extra boxes and packing supplies, and within thirty minutes they had organized my partially-packed rooms into a system. Sam assigned two team members to finish packing my kitchen while he and another crew member started loading the already-boxed items. They worked in parallel and it was incredibly efficient. Despite the last-minute nature of my move, they never once made me feel bad about not being ready. Sam just said, "Don't worry, we've got you," and they absolutely did. They loaded my entire three-bedroom house in about five hours, including my piano and my glass display cabinet. Not a single item was damaged in transit. When they arrived in Pittsburgh, PA, they unloaded everything into the rooms I specified, helped me set up my bed frame so I had a place to sleep, and even moved my refrigerator into the kitchen and leveled it. The final cost was $3,500 — exactly what was quoted. Meathead Movers saved me on what could have been a terrible day. Richard Rogers

Really good movers. Hardworking guys who got the job done. They were a bit slow on the stairs but no complaints about how they treated my stuff. Would use again.

Happy with how the move turned out. The crew packed things well and nothing important was damaged. The office staff could be a bit more responsive but the movers were excellent.

Booked them for a cross-country move. Everything was wrapped carefully, packed tightly, and delivered on time. The driver even called ahead to confirm arrival. Highly recommend.

Had a complicated move with a storage unit stop in between. They coordinated everything perfectly. Not a single hiccup. This company clearly knows what they are doing.

Superb service. From the free estimate to the final delivery, they were professional every step of the way. My wife was especially impressed with how they handled her closet.

Reliable service at a fair price. The crew was polite, worked hard, and finished faster than expected. Communication from the office could be a bit better, but the actual move was great.
