1-800-PACK-RAT

These movers are the real deal. Professional, fast, and honest. The final bill matched the quote exactly. I have already recommended them to my coworkers.

The move went smoothly for the most part. A couple of boxes were mislabeled but the crew fixed it right away. Overall a great experience, I would recommend them.

I am writing this review because I want everyone to know how incredible 1-800-PACK-RAT is. My move from San Francisco, CA to Las Vegas, NV was handled with a level of professionalism that I did not know existed in the moving industry. Marcus, the crew chief, called me the night before to confirm the arrival time and answer any last-minute questions. The team showed up at exactly 8 AM in a clean, well-maintained truck. They introduced themselves, shook my hand, and asked me to walk them through the house. I have a lot of fragile items — crystal vases, framed artwork, a grandfather clock — and Marcus assured me they would take extra care with each one. Every fragile item was individually wrapped in packing paper and then bubble-wrapped before being placed in a double-walled box. My grandfather clock was padded so heavily it looked like it was wearing a winter coat. The crew loaded my entire two-bedroom apartment in about three hours and did a final walkthrough. Delivery in Las Vegas, NV happened two days later, right on schedule. The unloading crew was equally impressive — careful, respectful, and quick. They laid down runners on my hardwood floors and corner guards on the door frames. I inspected every item and found zero damage. The bill was exactly as quoted: $3,450, no hidden charges. I have already recommended 1-800-PACK-RAT to three coworkers. Priya Barnes

The movers were courteous, fast, and extremely careful with our belongings. They wrapped every piece of furniture and used blankets on all the sharp corners. Arrived at destination in perfect condition.

I will keep it simple: 1-800-PACK-RAT is the only moving company I will ever use again. My move from San Diego, CA to Chicago, IL was supposed to be a nightmare — I was selling my house, the buyer was pushing for a quick close, and I had not finished packing when moving day arrived. But Luis and his crew showed up, took one look at the chaos, and immediately took control. They brought extra boxes and packing supplies, and within thirty minutes they had organized my partially-packed rooms into a system. Luis assigned two team members to finish packing my kitchen while he and another crew member started loading the already-boxed items. They worked in parallel and it was incredibly efficient. Despite the last-minute nature of my move, they never once made me feel bad about not being ready. Luis just said, "Don't worry, we've got you," and they absolutely did. They loaded my entire three-bedroom house in about five hours, including my piano and my glass display cabinet. Not a single item was damaged in transit. When they arrived in Chicago, IL, they unloaded everything into the rooms I specified, helped me set up my bed frame so I had a place to sleep, and even moved my refrigerator into the kitchen and leveled it. The final cost was $3,500 — exactly what was quoted. 1-800-PACK-RAT saved me on what could have been a terrible day. Eric Howard

After being burned by a different moving company last year, I was extremely cautious about who I hired for my move from Orlando, FL to Colorado Springs, CO. I did extensive research, read dozens of reviews, and ultimately chose 1-800-PACK-RAT based on their consistently high ratings and transparent pricing. That decision paid off in every possible way. The office staff was responsive from day one — they answered all my questions, provided a detailed binding estimate, and never pressured me into buying services I did not need. On moving day, Diego and his three-person team arrived at 8:30 AM and got straight to work. I was particularly impressed by how they handled my specialty items. I have a vintage pinball machine that weighs over 300 pounds, and Diego knew exactly how to secure it for transport. He used furniture sliders to get it out of my basement, wrapped it in multiple layers of moving blankets, and strapped it securely to the wall of the truck. They also took great care with my king-size bed frame, disassembling it carefully and bagging all the hardware. The drive to Colorado Springs, CO took about a day and a half, and the driver checked in with me regularly. When they arrived, the unloading was just as careful. Total cost was $3,900, within $50 of the original estimate. This is what a professional moving experience should look like. 1-800-PACK-RAT has restored my faith in moving companies. Steven Scott

Moving is ranked as one of the most stressful life events, but after my experience with 1-800-PACK-RAT moving me from Kansas City, MO to Memphis, TN, I think that ranking needs to be revisited. The entire process was so smooth and well-organized that I actually enjoyed the experience. Mike and his crew arrived at 8:00 AM and they were all business — in the best way possible. They came in, assessed the situation, and created a game plan on the spot. They designated one person to handle the kitchen, one to handle the bedrooms, and Mike took charge of the living room and all the large furniture. They moved in perfect synchronization, calling out to each other as they passed in the hallway. My reclining sofa, which I was sure would not fit through the front door, was expertly maneuvered by Mike using furniture sliders and a rotating technique. At the new place in Memphis, TN, they were just as meticulous. They protected my new floors with cardboard runners, padded the door frames, and placed every item exactly where I pointed. They reassembled my bed frame, my desk, and my bookshelves, and took all the packing materials away. The cost was $2,800 for a one-bedroom long-distance move, very competitive. 1-800-PACK-RAT is worth every penny. Megan Anderson

The team arrived with a smile, worked nonstop, and treated every item with care. Pricing was transparent with no surprises. This is the only moving company I will ever use.

Reliable service at a fair price from 1-800-PACK-RAT. The crew was polite, worked hard, and finished faster than the estimated time. Communication from the office could have been a bit more responsive in the days leading up to the move, but on moving day everything went smoothly. Victor and his team were careful with all my items from Louisville, KY to Boston, MA. All my items arrived safely and the crew was friendly throughout. The final price was $2,600. I would recommend 1-800-PACK-RAT to anyone. Samuel Flores

Good movers who clearly know what they are doing at 1-800-PACK-RAT. They packed everything carefully and loaded the truck efficiently. The only small issue was that a bolt went missing during the disassembly of my bed frame, but Tony apologized and replaced it on the spot from a hardware kit they carry. That kind of preparedness says a lot about the company. My move from Long Beach, CA to Dallas, TX went smoothly and cost $2,900. Would use 1-800-PACK-RAT again. Karen Ramirez

Excellent communication from start to finish. The dispatcher kept me updated and the crew called thirty minutes before arrival. Everything was unloaded perfectly. Thank you.

Moving cross-country is always stressful, but 1-800-PACK-RAT made my relocation from Brooklyn, NY to San Diego, CA an absolute breeze. I got quotes from five different companies and 1-800-PACK-RAT was the most competitive on price at around $4,500 for my full three-bedroom household, and they were the only ones that sent a representative for an in-person estimate. On moving day, a four-person crew led by Eddie arrived fifteen minutes early and immediately got to work. Each team member had a specific role, and they communicated constantly to make sure everything was handled efficiently. Eddie took personal responsibility for wrapping my 65-inch TV, my glass coffee table, and my wife's piano, making sure each was fully protected for the long haul. They loaded the truck with incredible precision — Eddie explained that proper loading prevents shifting during transit. When my belongings arrived in San Diego, CA six days later, everything was in perfect condition. The delivery crew was just as professional — they called ahead, arrived on schedule, and unloaded everything with the same level of care. The entire process was seamless and the final cost matched the estimate perfectly. If you are moving long-distance, call 1-800-PACK-RAT. Betty Lewis

As a military family, we have moved eleven times in the last twenty years. Our recent move from Washington, DC to Charlotte, NC with 1-800-PACK-RAT was, hands down, the best moving experience we have ever had. Ray was our crew chief, and he ran the operation like a seasoned logistics officer. He arrived with a pre-loaded inventory sheet on a tablet, walked through our house room by room, and tagged every item with a numbered sticker. Every item was accounted for at pickup and at delivery — nothing was lost. The crew packed our kitchen with surgical precision. Every dish was wrapped individually, glasses went into cell boxes, and our cast iron cookware was stacked carefully. Ray personally handled my husband's gun safe — a 400-pound beast that most movers refuse to touch. He had the right equipment, took his time, and got it out without damaging a single door frame. The truck arrived in Charlotte, NC on the exact date promised, and the delivery crew worked with the same efficiency. The total cost was $4,800 for a full-service, four-bedroom move with packing included. If you are a military family looking for a mover who respects your belongings and your time, call 1-800-PACK-RAT. Amy Cooper

I recently moved from San Antonio, TX to Queens, NY with 1-800-PACK-RAT and I cannot say enough good things about them. From the very first phone call, their customer service team was responsive, patient, and completely transparent about pricing. They gave me a binding estimate that did not change on moving day — no hidden fees, no surprise charges. The crew, led by Tony, showed up right on time at 8 AM with a clean truck and all the equipment they needed. Tony introduced himself and his team, laid down floor protectors in my hallway, and immediately got to work wrapping every single piece of furniture in moving blankets and stretch wrap. I was particularly worried about my grandmother's antique dining table, and Tony personally made sure it was padded with extra blankets and custom cardboard corner protectors. My entire two-bedroom apartment was loaded in under three hours, and Tony did a final walk-through with me to confirm nothing was left behind. During the drive, the driver called me with updates on his ETA. When they arrived at my new place in Queens, NY, they unloaded everything just as carefully. Every box was placed in the correct room, my furniture was reassembled, and they even helped position my couch exactly where I wanted it. Not a single item was damaged. The final bill was exactly what was quoted — $3,200. 1-800-PACK-RAT is the most professional moving company I have ever worked with. Laura Cooper

Best customer service I have experienced in years. From the first quote call to post-delivery follow-up, they treated me like I mattered. The move itself was flawless.

They did a solid job moving our three-bedroom apartment. A couple of boxes got slightly dented but nothing was broken. Good value for money and I would hire them again.

They truly live up to their name. Dependable from the first call to the last box. Everything was on time, on budget, and handled with care. Could not recommend more highly.

I cannot believe how efficiently they packed our truck. Not a single inch of space was wasted and nothing shifted during transport. True professionals at work.
