Mayflower Transit has been a trusted name in moving since 1927. They offer full-service moving solutions including packing, loading, transport, and storage for residential and corporate clients nationwide.
Professional crew that took care of all our furniture and boxes. Four stars because one item arrived with a small scratch, but the company followed up and offered compensation.
Superb service. From the free estimate to the final delivery, they were professional every step of the way. My wife was especially impressed with how they handled her closet.
Good experience overall. The team was friendly and professional. The price was competitive. Only issue was a short delay at pickup, but they communicated it well in advance.
Very pleased with the move. They were quick, careful, and respectful of my belongings. Knocked one star off for a slightly confusing billing process but the service itself was great.
Very impressed with how organized they were. Every box was labeled and placed in the right room. No damage, no drama. Exactly what you want on moving day.
Happy with how the move turned out. The crew packed things well and nothing important was damaged. The office staff could be a bit more responsive but the movers were excellent.
I am writing this review because I want everyone to know how incredible Mayflower Transit is. My move from Kansas City, MO to Newark, NJ was handled with a level of professionalism that I did not know existed in the moving industry. Hector, the crew chief, called me the night before to confirm the arrival time and answer any last-minute questions. The team showed up at exactly 8 AM in a clean, well-maintained truck. They introduced themselves, shook my hand, and asked me to walk them through the house. I have a lot of fragile items — crystal vases, framed artwork, a grandfather clock — and Hector assured me they would take extra care with each one. Every fragile item was individually wrapped in packing paper and then bubble-wrapped before being placed in a double-walled box. My grandfather clock was padded so heavily it looked like it was wearing a winter coat. The crew loaded my entire two-bedroom apartment in about three hours and did a final walkthrough. Delivery in Newark, NJ happened two days later, right on schedule. The unloading crew was equally impressive — careful, respectful, and quick. They laid down runners on my hardwood floors and corner guards on the door frames. I inspected every item and found zero damage. The bill was exactly as quoted: $3,450, no hidden charges. I have already recommended Mayflower Transit to three coworkers. Tyler Bennett
Reliable service at a fair price from Mayflower Transit. The crew was polite, worked hard, and finished faster than the estimated time. Communication from the office could have been a bit more responsive in the days leading up to the move, but on moving day everything went smoothly. Mike and his team were careful with all my items from Albuquerque, NM to Orlando, FL. All my items arrived safely and the crew was friendly throughout. The final price was $2,600. I would recommend Mayflower Transit to anyone. Amelia Ward
After being burned by a different moving company last year, I was extremely cautious about who I hired for my move from Richmond, VA to Chicago, IL. I did extensive research, read dozens of reviews, and ultimately chose Mayflower Transit based on their consistently high ratings and transparent pricing. That decision paid off in every possible way. The office staff was responsive from day one — they answered all my questions, provided a detailed binding estimate, and never pressured me into buying services I did not need. On moving day, Paulie and his three-person team arrived at 8:30 AM and got straight to work. I was particularly impressed by how they handled my specialty items. I have a vintage pinball machine that weighs over 300 pounds, and Paulie knew exactly how to secure it for transport. He used furniture sliders to get it out of my basement, wrapped it in multiple layers of moving blankets, and strapped it securely to the wall of the truck. They also took great care with my king-size bed frame, disassembling it carefully and bagging all the hardware. The drive to Chicago, IL took about a day and a half, and the driver checked in with me regularly. When they arrived, the unloading was just as careful. Total cost was $3,900, within $50 of the original estimate. This is what a professional moving experience should look like. Mayflower Transit has restored my faith in moving companies. Where do I even begin? Mayflower Transit handled my move from Sacramento, CA to Denver, CO and it was, without exaggeration, the smoothest moving experience of my life. I had been dreading this move for weeks — packing up a four-bedroom house with two kids and a dog felt impossible — but from the moment Junior and his crew knocked on my door at 7:45 AM, all my anxiety melted away. These guys are true professionals. They came in, did a quick assessment, and then worked like a well-oiled machine for the next five hours. What impressed me most was their attention to the little things. They took the doors off my hinges to get the couch out, then put them right back on. They shrink-wrapped my upholstered furniture to protect against dirt and moisture. They used wardrobe boxes so my clothes stayed on hangers. Junior personally handled my home office equipment, double-boxing my monitors and printers. When they arrived at the destination in Denver, CO, the unloading was just as meticulous. They placed every box in the room it was labeled for, reassembled all my bedroom furniture, and even helped me center my dining table under the light fixture. They hauled away all packing materials and left my new home spotless. Total cost was about $5,000, slightly under what two other companies quoted. No damage, no delays, no drama. Mayflower Transit has earned a customer for life. Ashley Russell
The entire team was incredibly respectful of our home and belongings. They wore shoe covers inside, laid down floor protection, and cleaned up after themselves. Exceptional.
Very happy with how my move went with Mayflower Transit. The crew was professional, efficient, and respectful of my home. They laid down floor protection and wore shoe covers, which I really appreciated. I am docking one star because the scheduling process was slightly confusing at first, but the office staff resolved it quickly and the actual move day was smooth. Paulie was the crew lead and he was great — friendly, careful, and fast. My move from Arlington, TX to Phoenix, AZ cost $2,500, which was fair. Good value for a quality service. Justin Gomez
The move went smoothly for the most part. A couple of boxes were mislabeled but the crew fixed it right away. Overall a great experience, I would recommend them.
I am not someone who writes reviews, but after my experience with Mayflower Transit moving me from Bakersfield, CA to Brooklyn, NY, I felt I owed it to other people who are searching for a trustworthy moving company. I had a complicated move — a two-bedroom apartment that included a home gym with heavy weights, a large collection of vinyl records, and several pieces of mid-century modern furniture. Paulie and his team handled every single item with a level of care that went above and beyond what I expected. The vinyl records alone took up about 30 boxes, and Paulie made sure each box was loaded flat and secured so the records would not warp. My mid-century credenza was wrapped in three layers of moving blankets, corner-protected with cardboard, and then shrink-wrapped. The home gym weights were loaded on the bottom of the truck to create a stable base. These guys clearly know what they are doing. Delivery in Brooklyn, NY was on time, and the crew placed every item exactly where I wanted it. Total cost: $2,950 for about 1,800 cubic feet. Fair, transparent, and exactly as quoted. Zero damage. Zero stress. I cannot recommend Mayflower Transit strongly enough. Marcus Gray

They moved a two-bedroom apartment in just under four hours. Everything was wrapped, stacked, and handled with care. The price was fair and the service was excellent.

After being burned by a different moving company last year, I was extremely cautious about who I hired for my move from New York, NY to Louisville, KY. I did extensive research, read dozens of reviews, and ultimately chose Mayflower Transit based on their consistently high ratings and transparent pricing. Moving is ranked as one of the most stressful life events, but after my experience with Mayflower Transit moving me from Washington, DC to Newark, NJ, I think that ranking needs to be revisited. The entire process was so smooth and well-organized that I actually enjoyed the experience. Luis and his crew arrived at 8:00 AM and they were all business — in the best way possible. They came in, assessed the situation, and created a game plan on the spot. They designated one person to handle the kitchen, one to handle the bedrooms, and Luis took charge of the living room and all the large furniture. They moved in perfect synchronization, calling out to each other as they passed in the hallway. My reclining sofa, which I was sure would not fit through the front door, was expertly maneuvered by Luis using furniture sliders and a rotating technique. At the new place in Newark, NJ, they were just as meticulous. They protected my new floors with cardboard runners, padded the door frames, and placed every item exactly where I pointed. They reassembled my bed frame, my desk, and my bookshelves, and took all the packing materials away. The cost was $2,800 for a one-bedroom long-distance move, very competitive. Mayflower Transit is worth every penny. Harper Walker
Very happy with how my move went. The crew was professional and efficient. I appreciated the upfront pricing. Slight hiccup with scheduling but they resolved it quickly.
